GranTurismo S Automatic hits dealers!
Pricing announced at $121,500

In the previous issue of Maserati Monthly we brought you news of another tremendous new model from Maserati – the exciting GranTurismo S Automatic. Pairing the breathtaking 4.7-liter V8 engine with the ZF 6-speed automatic transmission, and housing them in the stunning two-door coupe body, the GranTurismo S Automatic combines the astonishing performance of the GranTurismo S with the convenience of Maserati's uniquely high revving automatic transmission.

In our opinion, the GranTurismo S Automatic represents the ultimate expression of the art and science of the grand tourer – a car which can easily transport you and your luggage across a continent in comfort and luxury, while retaining the sporting prowess to make tackling a winding road or track a real thrill. The interior provides all of the features associated with Maserati – fine Poltrona Frau leather, comfortable and supportive seats, clear and comprehensive instruments. The navigation system uses a hard drive which contains full maps of the United States and Canada, and which can also store and play MP3 tracks ripped from audio CDs; iPod integration, Bluetooth and pre-wiring for satellite radio are all standard. And of course it has something that its rivals can only dream of offering – four full-size seats.

The exterior of the GranTurismo was a hit from the day it was first unveiled – it is one of the finest, most distinctive designs that Pininfarina has ever produced. So only subtle changes have been made: the GranTurismo S Automatic has discreet side skirts which help manage airflow, while it rides on new 20” Trident wheels – each wheel has fifteen spokes arranged into five sets of Tridents.

The addition of the GranTurismo S Automatic means Maserati's dynamic coupe range has something for absolutely everyone – the GranTurismo, with its 4.2 liter engine and automatic transmission; the GranTurismo S for the enthusiast driver, with the aggressive MC-Shift gearbox and single-damper suspension; and now the GranTurismo S Automatic, for those who desire the extra performance of the larger engine combined with the comfort and convenience of the automatic transmission and Skyhook suspension.

The first deliveries of the GranTurismo S Auto will be arriving at authorized Maserati dealers in early April, and the MSRP has just been announced as $121,500*.
