The extensive list of Maserati personalization options available throughout the entire range is enriched with the new “MC Sport Line”.

Created to emphasize the sporting DNA of Maserati, the “MC Sport Line” is for customers who wish to express their passion for sports cars with a dynamic look, and want advanced technical solutions to enhance their driving pleasure. The “MC Sport Line” range was developed with the help of the Maserati Corse racing team’s engineers on the basis of their competition experience. The designers of the Maserati Style Center were also inspired by the world of racing: it is no coincidence that all the components are made of carbon fiber, which has longbeen the material of choice for  professional race teams. Customers can select options from the “MC Sport Line” to personalize both the exteriors and the interiors of the Maserati GranTurismo while also offering owners of the GranTurismo S Automatic the possibility of enhancing the handling of their car using a special suspension setup.

“MC Sport Line” Aerodynamics upgrade the look and performance of your GranTurismo.

The aerodynamic look and performance of the GranTurismo can be enhanced with the addition of two front deflectors and a rear spoiler, in carbon fiber, developed with the aid of race track tests performed with the GranTurismo MC Concept. The new aerodynamic parts increase the downforce (coefficient of lift: Cz -30%), allowing the car to slice accurately through corners even faster.

The aerodynamic additions give the car a distinctive competition look, an effect assisted by the “dark line” on the exterior and by the black painted side-skirts which provides an even more dynamic side profile. An even sportier exterior can be achieved by combining the carbon fiber aerodynamic additions with side mirror housings and door handles in the same material. Completing the race-inspired look are aggressive Neptune design 20” wheels. Their gloss black  surfaces perfectly complement the carbon fiber's dark hue.

Transform the cabin of your GranTurismo into a race-inspired cockpit with “MC Sport Line” Interiors.

In “MC Sport Line” interiors, carbon fiber sets the style: dashboard, door panels and rear side panels all have carbon fiber moldings, while other interior details are finished in gloss black to provide a closer match with the carbon design. The carbon fiber door sill with the script “MC Sport Line” highlights the fact that you are stepping into a race-inspired environment; carbon fiber dominates the central tunnel, highlighting the brilliance of the chrome trim pieces. To give the interior an even more distinguished look, the entry package can be added to the carbon fiber clad instrument panel and longer gear shift paddles, also in the same carbon fiber. For those in search of the ultimate in racing style, a black leather steering wheel with carbon fiber rim and machined aluminum pedals with “MC” logo in red are also available.

The “MC Sport Line” also provides the option of a race-bred suspension and upgraded disc brakes on GranTurismo S Automatic.

The “MC Sport Line” suspension features single-setting dampers and a firmer, more track-tuned set-up. Attention has also been paid to highlighting an aggressive look: the exterior of the dampers in matte black are marked by a red “MC” logo in the same red color as the springs. The “MC Sport Line” suspension is combined with perforated and slotted front and rear disc brakes which help provide a more immediate braking action during sustained spirited driving. Compared to the standard units, the MC Sport Line discs are perforated around the perimeter for less fade along with 4 slots that help keep the brake pad clean, limiting loss of performance due to the build-up of brake dust and gasses caused by braking: while in the case of rain, their mechanical action helps to break up the film of water. Blind holes have been added inside and outside of the braking surface for more uniform wear of the brake pad and disc surfaces, keeping braking efficiency constant over time. The electronically controlled dampers installed on the Maserati GranTurismo S Automatic can be replaced with a fixed-setting type (spring and dampers with damping factor increased by + 8%), combined with a larger-diameter roll bar for the rear. This different setup removes the filtering effect of the electronics to give a more direct “feel” of the car’s response and reduces the load transfer (rolling angle - 8%) increasing agility and driving pleasure.

We suggest combining the aerodynamic package with the sport suspension set-up as this combination allows both the wings and the suspensions to work more effectively to achieve the best performance in handling.
